EGR valve missing?

The EGR valve is below the throttle body, bolted directly to the intake manifold.

It's probably been eliminated if someone's done the swap. Most of us (myself included) find recirculating exhaust into the intake to be a dirty, dirty habit.

Are you using a 1g or 2g intake manifold?

This is off my 2g 7-bolt.

Follow the hose marked with green (and 'A') over the back....
then down to the thing circled in red. That's the ERG valve.

(My arrow heads meet end to end.)

It shouldn't. The removal of the solenoid might cause a CEL to appear, but it shouldn't effect the way your car performs. As stated by jusmx141, it's a common practice to remove the EGR (or block it off) along with the rest of the emissions clutter (as long you don't live in CA).

Well the wierd thing is, I drove it for quite some time and the CEL never came on, then all of a sudden the car started running like #### and the CEL came on. I started looking around, and noticed the EGR was missing.
