So from my understanding you DO NOT clean the vacuum ports where the diaphragm is at. I cleaned the valve holes only and before taking the egr valve off noticed two things... The vacuum line was off the bottom nipple (closest to block nipple) and no gasket... After cleaning I put the new gasket in and obviously put the vacuum line back on (from my understanding it doesn't matter how the two lines or on? if wrong can someone correct me please..)
Also, I suppose to you need to take the manifold off to clean the ports where the EGR mounts too?
Anyways now my idle in park is actually good after it warms up around 1k at highest and my ISC motor is unplugged because its bad.. waiting to get new one.
In gear idle is 700 - 750 typically and actually have idle surge which the car never had (so that line could've been off for who knows how long). Which I think I saw is caused by FIAV on the bottom of the TB but maybe even because of no ISC atm?
It sounds like it misses bad at times after fully warmed up.
Would this be the EGR is bad or because of the ICS unplugged.
ISC has been unplugged for 2 - 3 weeks now but I have no idea how long the vacuum line to the EGR was off for.
