EGR Port Cleaning, Help

I have already rebuilt my motor, and the head went to the machine shop to be rebuilt, and the car is back together. It has been fine for 10k miles. When I put the motor back together I made a EGR block off since at the time I thought that the plate would improve performance. However, after talking with RRE they said that it only operates at less than WOT and helps AF mix. Now I want my EGR system, but the port that runs through the head is totally filled with carbon. How do I remove this carbon without removing or damaging the head?? Is there a solvent that will loosen the carbon in the port?? I am thinking some kind of flexible shft brass brush for a drill might work but is there something like that small available?

a galery brush will do the trick, and the rest will burn up. When the EGR is working the intake is in vacuum and the exhaust is under pressure so it wil come through

Maybe this will show my ignorance but, what is a galery brush and how should I attack the prob from the exhaust side or the intake?? I would like to get the port back to the factory flow level.

Combustion chamber cleaner will desolve most of it.

Its a long, skinny, flexible brush.

usually you just get some throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner, a pick, and some kind of snake brush and go at it. and no the rest of it wont burn up because that is why its blocked in the first place. carbon deposits are what is left over that wont burn and blocks itself in the passage. having a compressor and a blow nozzle help in clearing it out as well
