Hey guys, I have a CA ecu (non E-prom)

I installed an egr block-off plate and have been driving the car for about 200 miles. All of the sudden I'm getting the EGR cel !! Can this hurt anything? I also removed all of the vaccum lines that were non-relevant. Please let me know, don't want to do any damage :thumb:

Anything smog related (cat, egr, secondary O2 sensor) will not hurt your car performance-wise. However make sure your CEL is pertaining to them and not anything else. I hate driving with a CEL, it makes me nervous personally.

It will only hurt you if you need to smog the car, since the technician will not touch your car when there is an orange light on.

Okay great. I live where there are no emissions required so I guess i'm good. Would swapping to a regular ecu instead of a CA make the egr cel go away??
