code 43 egr cel

okay so i have a check engine light on and i recently got a new ecu that was rebuilt. the code is 43 for the egr i dont have one and im wondering if there is a way to get the light to go away.

i found this and im wondering if anyone has any expericence with this working

the same thing happened to me last week. i had a stock ecu and got a eprom ecu with a chip and as soon as i put it in the cel came on. I put a block off plate in the egr because i did a full emissions delete and now it is okay. If you dont have to take emissions then i would suggest doing the egr block off.
