ECU / Trans problem.

Just bought a 1995 Eclipse GST auto trans, My first question is the car did not come with a ECU, can I use one from another Eclipse with a turbo and auto trans or does it have to be year/car specific?

I tried using one I found but don't know what eclipse it came from, my Second question is my transmission wont go in reverse and is acting up in drive, can this be caused by the wrong ECU?

Yes you can use another ecu from an eclipse or talon..Does not have to be eclipse specific..

Check the classifieds..There might be a couple in there..
