I am very compitent at soldering :thumb: and I was wondering if anyone had socketed their ECU themselves :D . If so what socket does the ECU require and where can I get one?

Thanks Guys!

I used a Mill-Max socket to solder mine. I'm pretty sure the part number is 110-13-328-41-001, but it may be 110-13-428-41-001. It depends on how wide the socket is. The first one is for .3" from pin to pin across the width of the insulator and the latter is for a .4" width. Can someone help me out on this? You should be able to do a search on that part number from Newark or Mouser or whomever you order electronics from. I use Mouser myself all the time; they're fast, and ordering a quantity of 1 is cheaper for a majority of products. I'll edit this when I find for sure what the part number is.
It wasn't HARD to solder the socket in, but it was hard to suck the existing solder out. Use a sucker with a fine tip and a desoldering braid and even then it's hard to get all the solder out. 30AWG wire really helped to repair the few traces I lifted.
