I'm rebuilding my talon for the second time. I recently built a 4G63t with a 20G turbo setup that was fun but now I'm going to build a 4G64/4G63t with a GT35r setup. My dilemma is that I want a car that can make 600hp. But want it to be able to be street driven and pass Arizona's emissions every 2 yrs.

I'm having problems finding any ECU software that can help me accomplish both my issues. Its not going to be a daily driver, but I am looking for a fast street and occasional track car. I've talked to Keydiver and Jeff says that it can't be done the way I want it to. I'm looking at running E85 but he says I'd have to change to an Evo or 3G MAF. I want control over the software and programming via laptop.

Can someone help steer me in the right direction. I know I've left some info out. But will fill in as questions are asked of me.

DSMlink or the newer flashable DSM/EVO8 ECU's are your best bet. look them up. Lot more support for link and a lot of people like it. Flashable will be the cheaper option, and being new not too many people are using it, but it's looking to be very powerful. There is also stand alone, but that's even more $$ and you shouldn't need it if you have one of the other two options.

+1

either ECMlink or an EVO8 ecu should do you just fine. there are plenty of open source tuners with experience in tuning the EVO8 ecu and i would imagine that with the 98-99 ecu being similar they wouldn't have a problem tuning it as long as they (or you) can provide the XML for tuning. as far as emissions are concerned you wont have a problem with any of the three, i had a EVO8 ecu in my 96 eclipse before it got totaled and passed emissions just fine. all three are getting close to having the same options and support, ECMlink has a good support forum from what i have seen and the community over at EvolutionM.net can just about answer any question you can throw at them. the 98-99 ecu support is coming along much faster than expected, Ceddy is doing a fantastic job with everything he has done so far and i would imagine there is more in the works.

The flashable DSM/EVO8 ECU's where's my best bet to find one? I'm still new to the forums and haven't really found my way around yet. Also by using a new ECU will I have to rewire it to fit my current car?

The flashable ecu's would be the ones off of "1998-1999" turbo eclipse ,..the ECU's have plastic covers instead of metal covers like the previous years..if you use eather the 98 or 99 ecu , it should be a direct swap. As far as the EVO ecu goes you would have to rewire/ get a harness.
