first of all from all i have a 90 gsx.
from what ive read a 6 bolt 4g64 crank should be a direct fit, adding .48 stroke.

that being said ive also searched and got countless makes and models of cars. bothered the local salvage yard several times, only to get to the car, and it not have a 4g64.

for god sakes someone please give me a list, im tired of looking like an idiot.:banghead:

ugh...i fits a 2.4 then yes its a G4cs...And go search you can find all the information you need ot know. What model these come out of and everything by searching the forum. But in shorts the 2.4 out of those is a G4cs. Also you could look at the front of the block also where it is stamped into the block to see what motor it is also

yeah my bad i knew that. not paying attention/typo/way too much crap going on this week.
but i did finally get the car out of the yard.
the question mark was mainly because i still have found no definite markings on this thing indicating that it is indeed a 4gcs.
it should have it on a flat spot on the block behind the ex manifold right? i'm pulling it now i was just wondering if someone would see the valve cover and be like yeah definitely, or something..

my 20 over wisecos and eagle rods came in.
sent the block to get decked and bored, and possibly line honed.
also sent the crank and stuff to get balanced.

pretty much all i lack majorly is a fmic.

Sounds like a similar settup to my fall project.

I pulled a 4G64 from a 96 Galant at the junkyard and while the block was good the crank had some scars on the journals. So I pulled another SOHC 2.4 out of a mitsubishi pickup and the crank was good on that one. So I combined the two.

Ive drilled and tapped the oil squirters got Eagle rods and .20 over Wiesco pistons (currently being ceramic coated) and ACL race bearings. When they get back the rotating assembly will be ballanced and the motor will be ready for assembly.

Ill be using a refreshed 6 bolt head and dropping it in my daily driver.

Im basicly copying my buddys setup (he pulled his 4G64 from a sonata) that ran 11.90 1/4 on pump gas and a 60-1 turbo. Im even using a lot of parts left over after parting out his car.

Ill keep an eye out for this thread, so keep us posted.
