I was just wondering if anyone has messed with a tuning program called ECU+ ( I searched on here to no avial) It really has some neat features like working with a GM MAS with no trans. The price is cheaper than DSMlink and you do not even need an EPROM ECU (Fortunately my car has an Eprom ECU but I might get a non Eprom car later).. I have had my heart set on getting DSMlink soon but I am wondering if this program would be more beneficial. Here is their website:

Thanks

i am a owner of ecu+. if i had to do it agian ill go with dsm link.. thats because im unsatified with the product.. ecu+ is just like a generic version of dsm link.. they are still trying to come up with features that dsmlink already has.. so you know the deal here.

ecu+ is just like a generic version of dsm link..

Technically, it's like a piggyback version of DSMlink. They're trying to do things outside of the ECU by manipulating numbers where DSMlink has the ability to actually make corrections for things like injectors, MAFs, and timing curves from within the ECU code itself.

I have 2 DSM's, a 90 Talon (in profile) and a 95 TSi AWD. I already spent the big bucks for AEM EMS for the 1g and I was looking for something for the 2g. I can't wait until they step up for something for the 2g as I will be on board!

I have ecu+, it suits my needs fine. I have a 97 and I didnt feel like giving my left nut trying to find a 2g eprom. There is only one thing I dont like about ECU+, its that you are only limited to 780cc injectors. But I probably wont be there for a while. so it works for me and by that time Ill probably have graduated, in which case I can go out and buy a nice AEM unit.

I have used ecu+ for over a year now. It is true that it is a piggy back computer. But it still does the job very well. It does take some time to figure it out. HOwever, what doesn't? Once you get it, its actually pretty cool. There is a TON of information generated from this unit which lets you control all types of things in the ecu. I run about 20-22 psi in hot Florida weather and I have had no issues with the product itself. I have found that the off-boost tunning is very simple with this unit - or maybe i just got lucky? Timing controls work very well too. It also has the ability to pull back timing and or add fuel when you reach certain parameter of knock. THis is on top of all the factory built-in safety features fo the stock ecu! I would say this is good for anyting running up to about 400 wheel hp. With racegas I don't see why you couldnt' go higher with 780cc injectors.
Thanks
