I recently did a lot of fuel mods that were a bit outside of my AFC's tuning range, so I had a DSM chips burned for me and bought a remanufactured, socketed ECU. Then the ISC died and apparently took my new ECU with it. So, I replaced the ISC motor and put back in the old ECU just to get it drivable. Well, the old ECU works, but obviously its all kinds of rich because the AFC is zeroed and the injectors are 680cc and increased fuel pressure to 43. If I put the "new" socketed ecu in the car won't turn fire up.
My question is, what is the probability that the DSM chips is fried? Can I take it off of that ECU and buy a new socketed board and expect it to work? Or do I need to get a new DSM Chips ordered as well. I am not home to crack the case and try to assess the damage to the ECU personally. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Additionally, anyone know a good place to get a presocketed EPROM ECU for a 92 AWD? =) Thanks
