420A Eclipse GS help please

I have a 1999 Eclipse GS 420a. ok well, I just got the car few months ago it had a squeeling noise from tranny. I was told replace clutch and throw out bearing, replaced it with a perfection clutch from Advance, "i work there", =( and still have a noise.

NOW on top of that I have a grinding from driver side of car I'm guessing from in the tranny or from the clutch. When the car is under acceleration it grinds, if i baby it and ease up into rpms it doesn't do it. So now I have this grinding on top of squeeling.

Now I think its a bearing inside of tranny, which I'll have to have it rebuilt or get a used or new tranny. This has been an on going problem, I like this car a lot and done lot of mods and its came along way, but my question is what could this grinding be? Clutch not properly installed? I had a cheap mechanic put it in I am able to do it just don't have the tools or time. New clutch and throwout bearing? Anyone have any ideas?

Please let me know what you think, I can't get even get on it or hardly accelerate on to an on ramp to get on highway without hearing this grinding noise, its so annoying. Please HELP !!!!!!!

Sounds like an internal issue with the trans.

threw car up on lift...found out rear engine mount plate is broken and engine is to far foward and throwing everything out of wack when car is under a load, makes sense now ! thanks for the replys tho guys, now ! were can i get a rear 420a engine mount plate ?? dealer ? =( or junk yard ###### huh ...i work at advance....they have a rear mount but idk if it comes with plate i need....hmmmm

check around check ebay craigslist and i dunno if the one from advanced would have it or not.

I think dealer has it; it's the bracket that connects motor to engine mount. What would it be called- the rear engine mount bracket?

Im going to look at it tomorrow- I hope the bolts came out and didn't break off. Advance doesn't have a listing on it at all; I believe it's a Mitsubishi dealer item. The counterperson didn't really seem to know what I was talking about even though they have a break down of every part on that car.

It's possible my mechanic didn't tighten the bolts down enough and they came out, and the fact that just one bolt was holding the entire bracket ended up breaking it...but if anyone knows what exactly to call it please let me know.

The piece you are referring to is called, specifically, a "T/M Case Roll Stopper Bracket" and should be part number MR145035 for the rear.

would u kno were i can get this ?? maybe a link ? =) !!! ebay ? i tryed looking dont see much hmmm...all i kno is i saw three holes on this bracket when the car was on lift and i could move it up and down not even connected to engine .....the back of it.......this is causing my shit to rock when i get on it and when i turn engine off .....but.....if i could find a site or ebay link to order would be so helpful !!!

Agreed. Junkyard would be your best. If you absolutely can't find one, I'd get in touch with Mitsubishi Graveyard.
