Hey guys i have a 1999 Spyder dsm with a 4g64 engine.I wanted to turbo my engine i found a turbo kit for $800 on ebay. I DID RESEARCH the whole forum i found out people think ebay turbos are junk so don't say i didn't search first. I only want the turbo because i want a little more power and a BOV that's all not racing or tracks i just want to run 7-8 psi just so i can have a bov. In your honest opinion, what should i do? get a ebay turbo will it be able to be daily driven at like 8 psi? or am i able to get a good turbo kit for less than 1k? help me out guys im new to the TURBO WORLD and i would appreciate it if you guys helped me.:thumb:

Thanks:hellyeah:

you should just piece together a stock turbo kit off a 2g say a t25 and all the oem turbo accesories to go with it would be well under 100 check you local craigs list or the classified on here. ebay turbos equal headaches and ud have a more realiable setup for cheaper. just my opinion.

Like eveyone else says, avoid the ebay kit unless you like to replace stuff.. Get a stock 2g turbo manifold and t25 and go from there. You can easily piece together a kit with used stock Mitsubishi parts and stay under $1k

t25 100 bucks 450s 75 bucks manifold 30 bucks stock pipping and stock side mount 50 bucks couple other thing fpr etc.. i would say you could get a self gathered kit for under 400 easily. just run jpipe nipple to wastegate and theres your 8 psi sounds perfect to me.

I know you want to be turbo. But wait, it will serve it's purpose. You won't be disappointed. If you could wait... income tax is not to long away:hellyeah:
Just gather a t25 kit on here. Many will be more then happy to help you finish your build.
In the mean time... do more search for a turbo change over, full your head with turbo junk... Im sure it's done more then once on here!

so i need a 2g GST or GSX Manifold with a T25 TURBO and 450cc injectors.sounds goo to me i will look for those parts and with time i will make my kit can anyone tell me what else do i need to get ? i can buy those ebay intercoolers because they may be cheap but the most important parts i will have DESCENT can anyone list mostly everything i need.do i need to replace my pistons?or stock will do fine? help me out guys i want a turbo really bad
