ebay strut bar doesnt fit?

hey guys i have a 93 laser fwd na, i bought a 89-94 eclipse FSTB off ebay and it is too short and the bolts are misaligned, what do you think couldve gone wrong here?

Did you adjust the nuts, you can make them longer or shorter to reach. Or try flipping the "feet" around.
