Ebay Short Shifter - Worth It?

So today I found a knock off short shifter kit on ebay for $27!!
I was wondering if this was way too good to be true. After reading some posts here on dsmtuners I see that most people have little to no issues with them.
Are there any red flags for short shifters? Bad welds?

Myself and a friend both have those, they seem to be pretty decent in my book. Only downside we have found was we had to grind off a bit on the ends of the black part to make it fit right. Along with the newer bushings and cable ends, they have made the shifter feel very nice. One is using the stock shift knob and the other has a ball on it, the ball is very short on the shifter, like your fingers rub the boot, but the factory shift knob feels right on it. I think we got ours a few dollars cheaper, but personally, I would say its worth it.

I have the same one. With mine the black piece was junk. It wasn't square and the hole drilled through it wasn't straight. I ditched that piece and just used the lever. Had to fab some sleeves so it would fit on the stock piece without wobbling. I'm happy with it though it was a pain in the butt to make it fit.

Thank you for the replys! I plan on doing a review after I get mine! It is in the mail and on the way along with some brass bushings.

My experience you'll get the parts shown but they always require some kind of modification to fit correctly, but I'd rather spend a little of my time to save alot money

I find a good metal/welding shop and have them make all my metal stuff in return they do stuff for good prices and if anything has a problem they and HAPPY to fix it.
