Ebay Intercoolers Bad/Good?

Would it take a lot of chopping to make the 3.5" thick core fit? Is that the short route or normal piping?

i have the same intercooler basically just on a 1g instead. I had to remove the bumper support completly, and the on the bumper itself didnt have to do to much. Take a look at my pics i have it with the bumper on and off. i also have a slim fan if you want any engine bay shots of the piping let me know.

You dont want the first one. You want a drivers and passengers side outlet.

Second one looks ok, if the BOV will actually hold boost. Youll be removing your bumper core for it to fit and cutting up the bumper a bit.

Third, same reason as the first.

Fourth, same thing.

More/bigger piping = more lag.

I found a 12 x 24 x 3 IC on ebay about 2 years ago for about 150 bucks. They claim less than 1 PSI pressure drop. Ive been in Iraq for a year but Im now finally able to mount it, and Im telling you, its bigger than whats needed.

I wish I woulda matched my IC to my turbo like were supposed to.

Find something around 10 x 20 x 2 or 3 with 2.5 outlets and a low PSI drop. Thatll rock.

Using the XS/SS autochrome kit you recommend, do you have to replace the stock driver's side fan with a slim profile fan?

No, you dont have to replace it with a slim line. 100s of 2g owners are using this kit.

EVERYTHING you WANT to know, and NEED to know, is in the long thread I mentioned, and here is to save you the time from searching:

There is also a WRITEUP in the tech/diy section which is very detailed and will help you in the install. And the owner dynoed 450WHP on his GST on a mustang dyno, on 91 octane pump gas using that kit. I myself have dsmlink saying 300+whp on my no tune. Others in that thread will chime in on their positive experiences.
