for 2g awd guys
I just bought this full 3" exhaust and I highly recommend it. It is only a little more than the japanimport one. I got one for $280 shipped

Those are for AWDs, is your profile wrong?

So I bought this exhaust off of ebay for $140 ($45 + $95 for shipping). I had actually started putting the car back to stock and selling the parts off because I needed the money a couple months ago. That included the RS*R cat-back that I absolutely loved  Anyway, the stock exhaust is choking the 16G that's still on there, and I hate how much slower the car has become. I don't want to put too much money into mods, but I figured I could splurge $140 for an exhaust. I just got notification that it shipped via FedEx. However, it shows that the shipping weight is 15lbs!? I'm thinking the muffler itself is going to weigh more than 15lbs. It will be interesting to see what I get when it arrives next week.

Has anyone bought any of these ebay exhausts just to use the mid-pipes? I don't like they way the muffler looks on a 2ga and I figured I might pick one up and go with a muffler like the Vibrant. Just have the local exhaust shop fab up a pipe o connect the muffler.

Vibrant STREETPOWER FLAT BLACK Oval Muffler (3" inlet) :: Universal Mufflers :: Turbo Wholesale Distribution

I believe the juicyjems and japanimportmotors are exactly the same; two middlement, same source (SSAutochrome/XSPower).

I didn't like the can either, so here's what I just got done doing to it:

That's a Magnaflow 12198 (3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlet) and a pair of AeroExhaust SR2535 tips that I cut down to what I wanted.

It's not a whole lot quieter, but it looks MUCH better IMO.:thumb: Took me a lot of time, though (newbie metal fabricator :p)

The exhaust looks nice, but it seems your car needs a major cleaning :D

Heh...the final welding was at 8:30 this morning, paint went on at 9:30am, Exhaust was on at 10am when I took the picture. Then I had to work. Then I had to come home and download the 60 or so pictures off the digicam, scale them, upload to my website. No time for a car wash.:D And it makes the exhaust look that much nicer.

I dont think so it says 96 tsi awd right? I thought it did! Yeah i'm pissed, i have been looking at this exhaust forever and i have heard nothing but good reviews for it, so i wanted to buy it and what you know it's not on there no more! that sucks!

The JuicyJems and Japanimportshop/SR*S/NissanGTRpower are NOT the same.

I have owned both.

JuicyJems fits better and seems to be better built, but the others are quieter.

Someone please help me find this turbo back! Does anyone maybe have one for sale? Or where can i get it other then ebay?

JuicyJems fits better and seems to be better built, but the others are quieter.

As noted, my juicyjems came from XSPower and a friend's had "Imotora" or something embossed on the exhaust.

I noticed juicyjems has been off the seller market for a while (took a couple bad hits with feedback). I've emailed him back and forth before and he's actually a member here.

Hey, so im going to order a catback tomorrow for my AWD, and am MOST likely going with the japanimportshop one....

what's the final verdict on these? Easy to install myself??? could someone link me to a juciy jems one or whatever

and will the megan downpipe bolt up to it fine?

anyone recommend anything better than this one? seems it has been getting good reviews and i need an exhaust pronto.

Thanks

My friend got one for his 1995 gs-t and its still like new, he got it like 3 years ago. He has the one from the first link.:thumb:

So I've been shopping around for an exhaust for a few months now. Trying to decide whether to buy a name brand vs. a no-name brand, a cat-back vs. a turbo-back, etc.

After many a night reading through forms, I've found a couple people who swear by this no-name brand exhaust offered on ebay by a member named "juicyjems." I've been looking on ebay for items offered by juicyjems, but it appeared he was no where to be found. Here is a link to what the system looks like: eBay Motors: DSM 95-99 Talon Eclipse AWD 3" G-Power Exhaust Downpipe (item 320228457371 end time Mar-25-08 04:10:48 PDT)

Then, one night I found the system for sale on ebay, and quickly snagged it. Here is what the system comes with:

All stainless steal
3" all the way
Downpipe
Midpipe
High-flow cat
Full Cat-back
Mufler
Hangers
Gaskets

Everything only $199 + $99 for shipping.

I ordered this expecting it to be crap...I just had to see for myself. So, I brought it down to RRE and asked them to install it, anticipating much fabrication and hacking would be needed to make the system fit. Surprisingly, it needed very little modification to fit perfect. And, although the "stainless steel" material seemed cheaper than that of other name brand systems, it was also extremely light.

So, how is it?

Well, first off, the sound is astonishing. As quiet as stock while idling, and a deep, rich, classy, aggressive sound when the RPM's get up there. It's very difficult for me to explain in words how nice this system sounds. Totally blown away by the sound quality.

The butt dyno is registering about a 15-17hp gain in the midrange, and maybe 5-10hp gain up top.

So, if you're looking for the exhaust with the most bang for your buck, keep your eyes pealed for this one.

hmm looks like a good deal, im also looking for an exhaust that sounds stock in idle and aggressive when revved. You have a video clip? I would like to check it out. Also i checked the ebayers items for sale, and hes got nothing :( where else can i find this exact exhaust?

I was looking at this one eBay Motors: 95-99 ECLIPSE GSX TURBO TSUDO N1 CATBACK EXHAUST 97 98 (item 230243459649 end time Apr-25-08 22:03:31 PDT)

But it doesnt come with downpipe and it catback. But its 3.5in piping. sorry to jack thread but im also looking for ebay exhaust, and dont know if i should get turboback or catback as well. :)

Not a bad deal BUT those canisters are JUNK. They are cheap and wear out pretty quick. I bought my exhaust from abay also and the canister only lasted for a year, and now its very loud, not rice loud but its hard to talk to some one on the phone or your passenger without hearing the loud exhaust. Dont get me wrong the pipes are still good but the canister wears out quick.

Just a FYI, if your profile is up to date, and you are still stock, getting a 3.5 inch exhaust is pretty much entirely useless. I'm not saying you wont make more power over stock, but the gain over a 3 inch system would be negligible, and it would probably have harsher NVH than a comparable 3 or 2.5 incher. However, if you spent the money on a full 3inch or 2.5 inch turboback rather than a 3.5 inch catback with stock downpipe and cat, you would gain more power. At this point your power is limited by the compressor on the T25, not the diameter of the exhaust. Sorry for the rambling post.

yea i havnt updated profile, im still modding bit by bit, right now i just have new upper and lower ic pipes, greddy type-s and intake. I was going for a 3in like this one eBay Motors: TSUDO N1 CATBACK EXHAUST 95-99 ECLIPSE GSX AWD TURBO 97 (item 300217336250 end time Apr-28-08 02:40:03 PDT)

But it more expensive than the 3.5in and it the same

Im looking for what GSXDNA was looking for, a cheap exhaust 3in is good, turboback with stock sound at idle and deep aggressive when revved. So can anyone recommend a good ebay one? Besides the ones I posted?

I got the G-Power exhaust (it's an SSAutochrome exhaust, by the way) that the OP is talking about from juicyjems. Not a single complaint w.r.t. the seller at all. Shipped quick, very well packaged, fit like it ought to (except for some mods needed on the DP inlet flange). But he's just a middleman between SSAutochrome and the rest of the world. So take what you've heard from others with a grain of salt.

But the fartcan muffler was way too loud for me. I wouldn't call it classy. But that's obviously a matter of opinion.

So I cut off the can and did some custom work on it. My thread for the whole deal is below, including a mini tech article for installation of the original turboback.

The only thing is, RRE installed a spacer on the second 02 sensor to keep the CEL from coming on, but now the car is running rich.

I do understand why the car is running rich now with the spacer on the 02 sensor, but what I don't understand is why the spacer is needed. Since I do have a high-flow cat, why is an 02 spacer needed to keep the CEL from coming on?

That's interesting that you say that. I wonder if we have the same canisters? I do agree that it is a little on the loud side, but the tone is so unique that I enjoy it. To me, the sound closer resembles an exotic car than it does your typical riced-out honda.
