ebay exhaust systems?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I got this exhaust for my TSi AWD:
eBay Motors: APEXI WS2 CATBACK EXHAUST 95-99 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE GSX (item 200030303796 end time Dec-16-07 14:39:53 PST)

It was easily to install with ZERO problems. It looks and sounds sweeeeeet.

I give it a 10/10.

Well worth the money and shipping was fast.

Here is the link for the GST version:

eBay Motors: APEXI WS2 CATBACK EXHAUST 95-99 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE GST (item 200030303793 end time Dec-16-07 14:39:51 PST)

And the GS:

eBay Motors: APEXI WS2 CATBACK EXHAUST 95-99 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE GS (item 200030303790 end time Dec-16-07 14:39:50 PST)

I highly recommend it.

I'll post pictures and video at a later date.

Get a 3" cat with a bypass pipe. Open it up until you have to get inspected. A cop won't know the difference anyways. But don't cheap out on the exhaust either. I think the people that had my car before me did because the pipe runs under the rear drive axel and always hits the ground when I hit bumps. Also don't buy from ebay.

maybe you should buy from ebay i have the tusdo 3 inch turbo back for my 90 gsx welds are cleaner than my apexi n1 for my 2g plus its full stainless, my exhaust was cheap, but its a great exhaust off ebay and it dosent hit the ground when i hit bumps

Just got my ebay tsudo. I was actually somewhat impressed with the quality. It looks like some time (not alot) but some on making sure inside connections were filed and smoothed. The welds looks good. Overall, it goes to show that most vendors rip people off with $600-700 exhaust systems.

how did it fit?

The fitment was great!! I had to bend a few of the hangers on the muffler to keep the muffler tip from hitting the rear bumper. Also ther was one hanger on the midpipe that was totally on the wrong side from the factory location so I just didn't even use that one. Other than that, everything went on great. Read my post on the previous page for a little more in depth review.

I purchased one of the OBX exhaust systems for my 97 Eclipse GS. I had also purchased one of the ceramic OBX headers for my car. The entire install took like 3 hours with no problems, even though i didnt have a lift and just in stalled it with a good jack and some jack stands on big blocks of wood. My local performance shop said it would take 4 hours just to install the one header, which is the reason why i did it myself and i had no experience with a job like that besides installing an intake. Almost a year later and it still shines like new and the ceramic header still looks beautiful. The sound was a little loud but no complaints from the neighbors. I give the ebay exhaust systems, well the OBX one i bought, a 10/10. Great bang for the buck!!!

Good looking out, Romeen. I believe I paid $180 for mine from Japanimportshop before last winter.

Not a spot of rust yet, I might point out, and still sounds pretty good. :thumb:

Right now i have a cat back ehaust on my 97 gsx.

i was planning on buying a buschur racing downpipe and hi flow cat.

but i want something cheaper.

what is a good ebay downpipe setup that will let me run a cat, that is tried and true?

Maybe your GSt version is different

But the Megan pipe I got is full 3", and I called Megan and they even said that they are goonna make a revised version

I just bought the Tsudo 3" catback for my 90 AWD. I cant get any information from the seller so maybe someone from here can answer my question. What is the size of the flange for this exhaust? I want to get a downpipe but need to make sure it will fit. Also can anyone suggest a decent but not too pricey downpipe that will fit? Do I need to get a cat or should I just get a DP that eliminates the cat?

The end of the catback on the downpipe side is 2.5", if you use the adapter it necks down to 2.25".

What is a good, yet quite exhaust good to support 300hp? I used to have a 99 gs with an exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler & no cat. It was very deep, yet LOUD. Coming from that, I want to stay as quite as possible.

My plans are to get to 300hp on my gsx. (Or just enough to stomp my dad's 98 WS6). And would I be able to hold 300hp with a cat on? No emissions where I live, but with no cat it gets louder.

Thanks,
-Justin

im stumped.

i want to get a cat delete downpipe off ebay and new 02 housing.
(im trying to save money)

is there any setups that someone has got that they like.

i need something that i dont have to weld on either.

thanks guys.

p.s. im running a 16g

Get a xspower/noname or megan tubular o2 and a megan/tuningpros downpipe

you could def have a cat and have 300hp. i would go with an RRE downpipe with highflow cat. and then what ever cat back you wanted. or even an ebay cat back like this.
eBay Motors: 95-99 ECLIPSE GSX 4WD TURBO CATBACK CAT BACK EXHAUST (item 280185622949 end time Dec-26-07 22:29:32 PST)

How Good is this exhaust? I have been looking at it for awhile but i am worried about it getting rusted easily, or the hangers not being in the right place. Anyone have this exhaust? If you do what do you think?

I picked one up a while back, the same exact one. I wouldn't recommend it. I had to get it cut and fabbed allitle at the muffler shop when I had it installed. It hung WAY to low so we had to shorten some pipes and reweld them. I've had another tsudo exhaust for my gs-t that I LOVED. But I wish I would have got the same tsudo exhaust except for awd for this car:|
