ebay bse kit

Hey guys, have any of you used an ebay BSE kit? My friend who I bought my short block from built it using one of these kits, and I did not realize these can be problematic until after I installed the engine! Any imput on people that have used these in there 6 bolt engines would be great!

Replace it with a authentic parts. Ebay BSE have been proven to be junk. Remove it and install authentic parts before things get screwed up.

The stub shaft of eBay kits are usually of poor quality. Definitely go with an OEM kit for this.

No, I got luckey and researched how to prime the engine, and saw that thread listed above!

Just spend the 50 bucks. I got mine from STM and the stub shaft was a oem mitsu part.

I have a complete OEM BSE kit. oem stubby w/ oil groove, plug, and the 3 bearings. Ill let it go for 40 shipped. Bought it from STM.

I ordered 1, recieved 2. now I have this chilling w/ no use. PM me if interested.

Yea I don't buy from ebay anymore from experience, yea te prices are nice, but in the end its better to just pay a few more dollars for authentic parts.

Sadly to say, I left mine in there. (The inners) I just didn't have the tools and when your doing a build under your front porch well. Gotta do what you gotta do.

This is what leads to blown engines. You are going to be loosing oil pressure thru the open hole in the rear bearing.

I could have swore the how to article I read said that it wasn't 100% because it would just flow through the hole like it was oiling the balance shaft. Actually i replaced the oil pump bearing, and blocked off the outer on the left balance shaft.

Not trying to give false info or sound smart. Its just what I have read.

Just buy the stubby shaft from Mitsu and you can reuse the same bearings.

Just make sure to block off the oil holes when you are putting the bearings back in.

Yea thats what I'm going to do, My friend is going to sell me his used OEM stub shaft. His engine just spun a rod bearing for the third time this month. I feel bad for him. I think he spun this bearing, because he did not get the crank checked out before he installed it.

Yup third short block this month, the first spun because they used over sized piston rings on standard pistons, and that cause piston slap and wobbled the bearing to much he thought he could get away with it. The second time was due to him not priming the engine , and now today it just spun another, and he has no idea what happened this time, the engine was even professionally built by someone in New Jersey.

Wow! Not sure id buy anything from his motor sounds like he got a cheap ebay one too. You can buy just the OEM stubby shaft from jnztuning for like 14 bucks.

I went with a "professional" too. Took him 2 times to get it right. Cost me a fortune and over 2 months in down time.
And the spun bearing from not priming? Thats weird. That tells me it was from something else. Ive had fresh rebuilds in the past that i havent primed and they built pressure up real quick and lasted forever. Though to be cautious, i primed my 4g63 before firing it, these things are way too finicky to #### with
