Resolved Easy tech post. Go out to your car and check for me please?

These two wires were together in a connector clip. I need to know which of these wires goes to which male end.



These pictures start from a zoom out view, and zoom in on the wires, and male ends.

The first three show the orange and green wires. and the second set show the connector. please refer to the two male ends as left and right, and the wires and orange and green.

I know this is a noob mistake, i didnt check the wires before i pulled them out of the connector.

Please help! i dont think its super crucial.. like i could just start it and see if they're the right way and switch them if they're not, but i dont wanna risk anything.. if someone could just run out to their car and check for me that would be greatly appreciated!

It is just a coolant temp sensor, so it won't matter.

If you have a logger/Link/etc just plug them in and check your coolant temp. If it's weird ( -40 or something) swap them. I did this last time I was re-wiring a bunch of stuff.

A coolant temp sensor is a resister. The orientation of the wires does not matter.

Hmmm for some reason mine did...maybe one of the wires was just loose?

Thanks i'll keep that in mind if something is weird.
I figured it wouldn't make a huge difference, but if it senses the temp as negative i wouldn't think it would turn the radiator fans on and possibly over heat.. and that would be very bad..
