I accomplished near nothing this winter, but now that 70* days are here, I can make the long trek to my parent's property and make some headway.
My dad was away this weekend, so I had the place to myself. It took a bit of time to remember where I left off, but soon I was moving right along.
Cams are on and the t-belt is in place.

About to set timing...with help from the special tools.

VC on, new NGK plugs, timing good to go; all set to fire it up for just a second.

I give it a go. All it does is turn over
So I do a compression test. I was getting 0-60 psi on all cylinders. I started freaking out
I stepped away from the car for a moment and started reviewing vfaq. Then I realized that the cam sprokets were on backwards. Not only that, I had the spark plug wires on incorrectly
So I switched the gears, redid the timing, double checked everything.
And now..........nearly 120 compression on all four cylinders when cold! Made for a happy Saturday.
