hey guys! got a question for you. i have brand new eagle crank 100mm stroker. Installed it in my 98' block with 3 different types of bearings. i don't have the tool to check end play but i have a feeler gauge. It reads at .011. the block im using came out of my gst that spun a rod bearing. i put the old crank back in it and it reads .004 on the feeler gauge.

Possible i got a bad crank?

yes ive installed three different sets of bearings. cleveite , alc acuglide and their tri metals. they said im running the wrong ones that i need king bearings cause they are thicker.
But my measurements of stock crank and eagle crank off way different in specs,

Sounds like it may be ground a tad wide. Call who you bought it from and tell them.

No the king bearings will not be thicker unless you get the OS bearings.

Unless they call .0002 thicker, but you will find that much of a range in about any bearing, no matter the brand.

Who said you were running the wrong bearings?

called eagle themselves. talked to guy named brian. he said theres no way the crank is off in measurements. my factory crank read .999 1.000 1.001 1.000 starting from flywheel to crank pulley their crank read 1.006 1.005 1.007 1.007

Was he in tech support? Did you tell him what you found with the 3 different sets of bearings? Also how all 3 sets measured on the stock crank?

Call back, but do not get upset and cuss, try a different tech rep, and if you still get no help, call back and get the operator and ask for a supervisor. Keep track of the dates and times and who you spoke with.

Also ask that they send you a shipping ticket, so they can check it themselves.

Thanks. I never got rude with them. Just dont know why he thinks its the bearing when my 250k stock 7 bolt crank has .004 end play but theirs went .011 end play.
All three measured about the same on each crank plus or minus .001

I don't know if this will help, but I recall a few years ago maybe it was buschur maybe it was someone else but I recall them having problems with eagle cranks. Just to give u something else o search for
