Hehe sorry I do have v3 full just not installed. Just more less looking on the mechanical side of the setup for E.

Your actualy good, unless I'm missing something....But I gotta tell you the FIC rail is overkill..Unless the FIC injectors do not fit the stock rail..

The stock rails can handle their fair share of power..

One more thing do you have the rewire kit for your pump? That's always a good idea..Even for a stock pump..

The profile says he is using a 14b..That is kinda week, if your looking at making more power...

But I can hook you up with a guy that can convert your 14b into a 20g...

And since you using a 14b on e85..I'm guessing you want to run over 20psi...I would add headstuds to the list

Hehe I have evo3 16g im going to install, I am just getting my E85 fuel supporting setup make sure all my lines are all good. I was thinking the fuel rail because its anodized.

Your going to need to get rid of the safc in your profile..My suggestion would be ECMTuning, Inc.

Believe it or not i used my 1050s on e85 with an afc1 and it worked perfectly. E85 requires 30% more fuel so it would make the 1050's about a 730 injector. I was able to tune it really well with a wideband and keep the A/F in the 11.5-11.7 range with no issues. Of course now i have link and it is the best option for tunning.

Did you have a Eprom with a chip in it? Other wise how did you keep timing in check with that much injector on a Safc? Is E85 that good? I have never messed with it you just don't see the stuff down here in East TN...

Bigger injectors can be used with an safc..But most of us would suggest link as their tunning choice..

Now the biggest injectors im aware of an safc handeling are 660's..That is only injectors and safc..Now with a gm maf you can tune bigger injectors..

I am not aware that you can tune 1000's with an safc on e85, with no gm maf..So if thats what you were using please elaborate..

Also if e85 and no gm maf were being used on an safc and 1000cc injectors..I would like to be informed of that as well..

No eprom chip. I just made sure the base timing was set properly and that was it. You can mess around with the CAS but i didnt touch it. I just basically let it feed some e85. Generally 1g's have aggressive timing maps so it was around 24-26*. My buddy is running the same combo 1000/afc2 with a 2g mas and zeitronix WB. Pulls like a mofo on 30psi and big 16 :hellyeah:.

Im blessed to have plenty of E-85 in Houston.

Correct, on pump gas meaning 87-94 octane the biggest injector you can run on just afc is around 660-700cc innjectors. Now with the maft it allows you to compensate and "fine tune" bigger injectors.

I ran both with and without maft on e85. Like i said with maft i was able to fine tune the combo better, however it works very well with just a 2g mas and 1000 combo on e85. The other thing i should mention is that a quality WB must be used to get you A/F ratios in check. Hope this helps

Awesome I was wondering if anyone did this, I have an safc. 255 Wally, ordering 1000cc, and I have rewire kit. And actually 11.5-12.0 is good. This will be my fourth car on e85 and I love it. I plan on getting links, but if I can get the car to run good with the safc then I'll do it

Sorry I read the rest, awesome, so safc, 1000cc, 255fp, and I'm good, and I have a 16g, also so how do you change the timing with the safc, I misunderstood.

Cant believe people are still running those. Get link if your planning on keeping your car.

You can't change timing with an AFC.

I'd ditch that walbro 255 and spend a little extra on the 450 e85 version they have. You're gambling with the regular 255 on e85 on how long it's going to last.

I disagree. Plenty of members including myself have been running 255s on e85 with no issues for a while.

One of the big points of running e85 is the timing that can be added. If you're on an safc you're leaving tons of power on the table by not taking full advantage of the corn juice.

Lol my old thread, i been running e85 all year with walbro 255 all stock lines are fine e85 nothing bad. Many my friends ran that before I think people over hesitate things on doing there car. I think I actually bs this post back in the day LOL it gets long boring days at work.

Lol get familiar e85 is amazing. I've used it on my last three cars, where you benefit the most is being able to increase timing tramendously and not worry about knock or detenation.
