Any recommendations for fuel pumps, FPR, injectors, fuel filters, etc for E-85? My current turbo is a EVOIII.

Depends on how much boost you want to run, etc. A good setup would be 255 HP pump, FPR setup (alcohol compatable), a good fuel filter (like a fuel lab 100 micron) and a decent size injector (say 950+ cc's). Just my 2 cents though.

I am running 1000cc injectors, Wally 255HP (rewired) and a Aeromotive AFPR. You will also need a good filter and feed line from filter to rail (extremepsi sells a nice one called teh "fuel-lab 818" or something like that...it's the one i bought and i love it) The main reason you need that is because the E85 will clog teh stock filters with crap really fast (in 3-5 tanks it will probably be completely clogged or close to it) Because the E85 cleans all the petrolium residues and other impurities out of the tank and lines. Plus the most restrictive area of teh stock feed lines is the banjo bolt on teh filter to the line that feeds the rail, the 818 kit has -6 feed line included and is plenty for your goals

I"m able to max out my 57 trim at 30 psi with the above setup, it should work awesome for taking full advantage of the E3 16g you're running :thumb:

What are you using to tune currently? I know it's a little off topic, but just wondering.

Crap just bought a stock fuel filter too! Owell it's only $20ish... I thought the 255 isn't compatible with e85? I have DSMLink.

DSMLink
Walbro 255HP Rewired
950+ Injectors ( you have DSMLink it dosnt matter go over the top)
Fuel filter ( Fuel lab etc..)

Some people say tank to rail lines.
But some say dont.

That's cool, just use the one on the car for the first 5 tanks, then put that new one in and it will get you by for a while. DON'T put the new one in right away as it will be clogged in just a few tanks, dirty up the one on the car, then put the new OEM on until you get a fuel lab filter with a stainless steel filter element.

What about my air fuel monitor? Will my m300 PLX work? From my under standing the a/f ratio needs to be higher. I think it only goes up to 17:1

here we go again with the damn wideband questions. To put it simply (anyone feel free to argue if you'd like). e85 and pump gas do indeed have different stoich measurements but the wideband doesn't need to be corrected to show it. I have tuned many dsm's on e85 with an off the shelf xd16 (my innovative wb) at 11.1 (give or take .5) and have had ZERO failures do to lean conditions. Keep in mind that e85 isn't always 85% ethanol (more like 70%)...

Hahahh...that was the first thing i thought too.. This has been covered countless times, just search "E85" there's been at least three threads that covered it in the last 30 days.

agree'd... No offense to the OP. Just venting.

Gas stoich is like 14.7:1 and E85 is 8.0:1 or something close to that.

But when your wideband reads E85 its the same as gas altho you can burn your E85 leaner.
I hear alota 12.0:1 AFR rates with E85, that seems to work well.

I am running e85 with DSMLink, a Walbro 255hp re-wired, aeromotive regulator, new stock fuel filter, and ss lines from the filter to the rail and from the rail to the regulator with 1150cc fuel injectors. I also have a totally not necessary AEM fuel rail. I am running 12.5-12.8 afr at 16psi boost flowing 38.5 lbs/min, timing advancing to 24 deg around 6k. I am scared to advance timing more then that so it holds at 24deg to 8k. No Knock! :thumb:

That scares me.
E85 is MEAN

Be carefull tho.

May I ask why such low boost? Im not here to argue but I think thats a little lean at wot. I know a guy that builds motors and has seen failures on e85 and usually because of lean conditions. He religously tunes 10.9-11.1afr.

Just to add Im running just a SAFC/MAF-T combo for tuning, 255lph not rewired, 1200cc, stock FPR and lines. Im seeing 30psi and 22* by redline and drivability is just fine. Not to mention the stock fuel filter has about 1500 miles and still working fine. I have a very cheap setup and its working out fine.

profile a little out of date looks like :) what turbo, not 16 psi on the t25 flowing 38 lbs/min...

Your EVOIII is holding 30# of boost to 7000RPMS? If so how did you do it? I thought it only holds to the low 20s?

sorry, should be good now

I think I am going to re-tune to about 11:1 to 11.5:1 and hopefully 24-26psi boost, I was running such low boost because of FWD.................

Waiting on a few more parts then i will be ready to start up the car. i am going to try for 25psi and 20* timing up top

You guys sure do like over building stuff. This is my E85 setup.

Bosch fuel pump (intank.)
Stock fuel feed lines from the tank to the fuel rail.
Stock fuel filter (yes, including the banjo bolt.)
Stock fuel rail.
Stock fuel pressure regulator.
1,600cc injectors.
Stock fuel return line.

With a bogged launch car went the time in my avatar. It has gone as fast as shown in my signature in the 1/8th all on E85.

550whp+
30psi+

Daily Driven. No tricks.

Lambda values are always the same for whatever fuel you use right? Sorry for digging up old thread, but I was looking what components I need to replace before switching to E85.
