Here's the dyno sheet from the other day. I am still working on the vid. I'm getting use to the new Adobe premiere so it's taking a bit longer to get done.

Yes please, more details of your setup. Boost, Meth kit settings, all the good stuff.
 
Well, most of it's in my profile, but basically I'm running a stock 1g long block except pistons and cams. The cams are FFWD 264/272 combo, and i was running a Devilsown base meth kit, but having no prior experience with any "real meth kits" i had no clue where to start with volume and learned the day after the pulls. I was running an M7 nozzle that came on at 14psi, but in reality i should be using something more to the tune of an M10 or 12. Meth kit pressure is stock (not sure what it is stock though)

The boost was 20psi ( we creeped to 21'ish maybe edge of 22 once ). T3/4 57trim stage III exhaust, 2.5inch DP, 3" cat back. Haltech engine management, 720 injectors and a buscher style spearco FMIC core with IC pipes i made at my shop. Junk Apexi dual chamber BOV, and misc other stuff on the car.

I was only seeing duty cycles of 57-60% tops without alcohol @ 11:1 AFR, Once the alky hit it was in the 10's, i tried leaning it out some, but i had been there so long fooling with a failed MSD knock sensor, a bad profec B that wouldn't let me hit over 20 psi and various other dyno issues like the dyno owners wideband was out of whack and he swore mine was till he calibrated and found out he was off target. I had 2 1/2 hours minimum ( but that's all i paid for). Once i get the meth tuned, now that i have some more info on it's use i will go back for better numbers and a shorter stay.
 
Well, my J&S knock safeguard will be here by 10:30 AM tomorrow. I am going to be putting it in first thing and then over the next two weeks i am going to be taking the alcohol pump gas challenge to it's limits.

By, the 19th of this month i will have new dyno numbers and new video, and I will break the 400 HP barrier on pump gas or break the car... That is if my second shortblock is ready by then in case something goes horribly wrong. If it's not i will push as far as detonation/pre-igniton will let me.

I will also be testing my theory of no FMIC and a LOT of alcohol and water to see if i can compensate and make any noticable improvements in ANY area, weather it be spool, HP, or just dropping the 30 lbs and 5 foot of intake tract with no changes in performance either way. LOL

Stay tuned, this should be some good R&D that everyone can learn or take advantage of the results whee done.

I've used the J&S on a few cars before, and i LOVE IT! I trust my motor on any boost level to it's safeguarding abilities, so there should be no limitations except for what the fuel and alky/water will let me do :D

And I chose Haltech because i was a dealer for them at the time (almost 9 years ago) and my choices were autronic or haltech at the time anyway for "good management" that could fire off the 4g63's ignition coil packs. most other stand alones only did one coil back then, so you could use anythign on a honda, but hardly anything on a DSM. I don't even think DSMlink was around then :LOL
 
Sublime huh? Nice, never realized you were from Omaha. Wierd knowin there is another cheyenne red 2g in town that is modded.

Thanks, that looks liek a guy Chris hughes's car that i knew for a while, so that would make 3 if it's not the same one hahha. But mike said some one bought chriss's stock and then modded it completely out.

The numbers were not what i wanted, but respctable none the less. Where you at in omaha, drop me a PM or just gimme a cross street , i'm living at 120th & Q and 156th and Center, just depends on if i'm staying at my shop cause the womans mad or i'm working long hours :LOL
 
Yeah, I had a conversation with Chris when I was looking into this blue Talon. We came to the conclusion we didn't think it was his, LOL. My mom lives in Bellevue around 370 and my dad is out on 156th and maple. My aunt lives around 120th and center though, and she has a clean ass 1g. As for me I am in Lincoln right now goin to school in Milford so I come back when I can.
