Dumbest things you've heard a DSMer say? :)

My neighbor isn't a DSMer but he did go to the shootout last year. He told me that some tiny hairs from my dog on my camshaft is going to cause the engine to spin a rod bearing. OMG

I have ninja birds in my garage that like to leave me false peace treaties when I'm gone. Just recently, my camshaft was owned as I forgot to pack up one night :|

yeah I'm gonna let that one slide... :thumb:

Tell your neighbor it takes 10,000 miles to ruin the bearings with a piece of sand before it breaks.

i'm guessing you went to the beach and filled her up with some of that good ol' beach sand..and then ran 10,000 miles to prove your statement? how was the scoring on the bearings? And how could you tell if they break when you cant tell the difference between what is sand and metal in your oil pan?:thumb::sneaky: at least it would clean your engine like a glass beading right?! hahaha

i can see it now, your next oil change..... "why does it look like the Exxon Valdez crashed into the Sahara desertWTF?" *as thick black sandy oil glops out into your drain pan*

"now i can get on tuners and tell them not to do this!:hellyeah:

You guys are making me laugh. Hahaha. I didn't believe him or anything. Not that I'm saying to pack your head full of fur or anything but I'm a pet owner. Its pretty hard to not get husky hair on stuff. They measure oil filters in microns so I'm pretty sure it would catch some hairs LOL.

some guy at a house party last night kept tellin me his friend had a 8 sec 500 hp crx, then that he had another friend with a 1g running 2 t3 turbo's at 14 psi, i said ok why 2 at only 14, im like so he's running 2 t3's at stock levels :hmm: something is really wrong here. :ohdamn: ROFL

why lie to look cool.

Yeah.. I don't think a 500hp and 180 ft-lbs of torque Honda is gonna run 8s when a srt10 viper over 1000hp is in the 8s. Lol.

First off I have not heard of any twin turbo setups maybe there is some but not to my knowledge and second two turbos running 14 would be actually more like 28 psi
all together. There is a lot to turbo anatomy and one thing people dont realise is your turbo efficiency is easier to control in a single turbo setup.:thumb:

Okay, there is a lot to a 1/4 mile than hp. So dont even mention that. By the way there is a civic that runs almost a 7 second flat.

A buddy of mine with a 2gen 420A stock eclipse and I were talking on the phone I was telling him about my new 93 Eclipse n/t with when he says to me I should pull out my 420A engine and put in a 4G63! Then I had to explain to him the car comes stock with it. LOL

Conversation between a 1g owner and me

Me: hey that 1st gen looks clean, what do you have in it?
Him: just a 1.8L
Me: Huh, cool aren't those non interference motors?
Him: yeah I swapped it in because the original engine broke. (he said what really happened but I don't remember)
Me: oh that sucks
Him: what do you have in your 2g?
Me: just the DOHC 2l 4G63 with the stock t25 with only minor mods nothing special.
Him: who did the machine work?
Me: what?
Him: Umm 4g63 engines only came as 1.8l you have to bore it to get to 2.0l
Me: :what: sorry but that is how gst's come stock (I didn't argue about 1.8L because I really wasn't sure if they actually did our didn't make that kind of block, I know differently now)
Him: no they didn't.
I left before he could pull more shit out of his ass

The PSI compounding on turbos only happens if your running a compound setup.

And if there is a Civic running a 7 second 1/4 mile, I bet you its RWD with 1000hp+. 500hp in a FWD Civic you would maybe be in the 11s with a good driver.

I love how people make assumptions on the internet based on what I didn't say instead of what I did. Lol. I am fully aware that there is more than just HP numbers. Like the person above me said, unless it's a CRX converted into an Ariel Atom it's not going to run 8s with 500hp. Sorry if that comes off as me being a jerk, I really don't mean it to. Quick! Someone say something funny :D

no, I was not saying you were wrong but a lot of people like to determine a 1/4 mile time on just hp. Your good man.

Believe it or not but on a drag build RWD is the best. Even the fastest dsm Brent Rau had done that conversion but on street race or street build AWD and FWD are the best on street radials. I agree with you man.

The 1.8l 4g37 was only in the 1g dsms and the 420a replaced both nt 4g63 and the 4g37. THe funny thing is I have not ran into any member with a 1.8 on here. My first dsm was a 1.8 l. Which was a no potential SOHC engine.
