DSMs and Evolutions use the same type/style of injector?

Hey guys and gals,
Stupid question here.
Size notwithstanding, do DSMs and Evolutions use the same type/style of injector?
I mean if a vendor is selling a set of 950cc injectors labelled as EVO injectors, will they work in a 1G?
I searched like crazy first, so please don't flame me , I couldn't find anything directly answering this question.

To my knowledge, yes, an injector that fits a DSM will fit an Evo and vice-versa. Several people on here run Evo 560 (or 580 depending on whom you talk to) injectors on their DSM's with no problems. As long as their is some form of fuel control for the larger injectors, they should work.

They should work. The evo guys sell us their stock 560's. Those just drop right into our cars. Plus its the same engine and company.

So, wait. They come from the factory with 560's, not 450's? Well, that is one reason why they come from the factory a little more beefed up than us, the fuel is upgraded, as well as the turbo and other items, but still, just because they turned the engine around, I thought they did something dramatic to it to make it almos 300 horses and 289 torques...

The engine has the same name as ours, but the EVO 8 motor is not the same as ours, there are differences, I believe that the EVO 8 motor is even mounted in the opposite direction as ours. You can use some of the same parts, but you can not do a direct swap in to our cars
