Couple of questions. I want to be able to run e-85 sometimes out of town and 91 in in home town. They dont have e-85 or i will go straight to that. But im going to be getting dsmlink soon and wanted to know if i can switch between 91 and e-85? Or i gotta get another logging system? I have read you can do both ways just wanna clear up confusion. Thanks

Yea i plan to get FICs also for my build. 1650s. But in dsm link i can change it with my fuel right away righ? Like if i have gas 91 then was going out of town i can get e-85 and just change settings? Or do i got to tune all on e-85 when i get it? This is were im confused?

With dsmlink, you can run a flex fuel sensor and run any combination of e85, and gasoline, on the same tune. Or, you can use the aux maps feature, activated with a switch, to go between e85, and gasoline maps. Either way is much easier than doing a complete retune just to change fuels.

I took a 5,000 mile trip in my 1g, and used map switching to run e85 when I wanted to. No laptop tuning needed to switch maps.

So if i run flux fuel on dsmlink i can keep same tune for gas91 and e-85? And the aux you have is the same or better the flex fuel on dsmlink?;

You don't use the same exact tune. Dsmlink interpolates between 2 global fuel, 2 fuel maps, and 2 timing maps based on ethanol content. Map switching, just switches between the two maps, with no ability to run a mix of e85, and gas, just either or.

Ok i am kind of understanding now.vi think dsmlink flex fuel is the way to go.
Were can this be bought looking on dsmlink now?
