2G DSMLink question

So i just received my dsmlink and had a question. I have 850 injectors ready to go in. Once i set injector size on dsmlink, will it adjust my car accordingly so that it doesnt run super rich? I wanna put it in but dont have they money to get the car tuned yet.

Yes, as long as you adjust global % and deadtime, you're good to go.

Make sure to watch all these videos for more info. Pay special attention to #8 as it'll help you set your idle.

The calulator seems to give estimates close to the values you want, but with mine i had to play around with deadtime and global fuel to get it as close as i could

If im not mistaken when you type in the size injectors you have, in the pop up window theres a button that reads "calculate".
It calculates it automatically for you...

so my other question is this clutch-cut mod? do i need to do this? Also can i do it in the future after i install my dsmlink?

The clutch cut wire allows you to run NLTS (no lift to shift). This means when you're drag racing and have to shift, you don't need to lift off the gas pedal. You keep it to the floor while shifting, and the software limits the RPM's.

i also have a question about dsmlink. I sent in my 96 ecu to get eprom and socketed. i have v3 full. does it already have a base map for startup?

Yes. It still utilizes the stock ECU airflow, timing, and fuel maps. The only thing you'll need to do for start up is change injector global % and deadtime if needed.

Is there a way to show what hp and tq my car is putting out through dsmlink? Also how do i configure a manual boost controller to show up in dsmlink?

There are values called Torque and HP that you can capture and display (look in both your Captured Values list and Displayed Values list and make sure they're there).

Um, no such way to configure an MBC to show up in link. If you want to log boost, you need a MAP sensor.

so i just took the car out for second time with dsmlink. check engine light came on. It says 0443 evaporative purge control valve malfunction. what is this and how do i fix? dsmlink says my cataylist and egr system is incomplete. oxygen sensor and sensor heater are complete.

Ive never had this problem until i just installed dsmlink. Why would dsmlink cause this to happen?
