ECMlink Dsmlink patch install help...

I have been going insane over my buddy's car constantly throwing p0202 and p0203 codes. This weekend I did a Saturn alternator swap in his car and threw a p1500 code... a quick search popped up a dsmlink file for both codes driving me crazy! Problem is, I followed the instructions exactly and am still having problems on how to download them, install them and find them in dsmlink. I'm using windows 10 which I am really bad with... can anyone who has done this please give me a detailed step by step?

Since I did not get any replies to my question I figured I would post my resolution to help others in the future. I came across this video on youtube which helped me step by step. Worked perfectly for installing the dsmlink patch files.
