I seached for the answer to my question but came up empty. I also tried to post this question in the tuning section but was denied access. Soooo...I'll post it here. I'm going to use the DSMLink for tuning my 98' Eclipse GSX. I want to use a Palm or some sort of PDA with the Palm program designed by Hal but I know absolutely nothing about PDA's. Can anyone tell me what kind of PDA to use or features the PDA has to have to support the DSMLink? I also tried to e-mail DSMLink themselves but for some reason it would not go through. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you!!!

Sorry for using "Q" in the title. I meant "Question".

Supported O/S Versions:

Palm OS 3.5 and, including SOME versions of 5.0 and above.

Supported PDA Models

M100, M105, IIIc, IIIxe, M5xx, and SOME Tungsten models (2g DSMLink only). Honestly, the best units are the old style like the IIIc and IIIxe.

Do you know if using the Palm Program is as effective at tuning as using a regular computer? Also...why are the older Palm's better?

Older is better because they are cheaper, that's just my opinion though. You'd have to ask Hal why older is better to get a real answer.

As for which is better, Palm is very small, can take it with you so it won't get stolen etc. But for using DSMlink to it's true capabilities in the car, you should use the laptop. There are many features with the palm that are disabled.
