dsmlink??/not working??/

hey everyone I have dsmlink installed and everything, and I had to buy a serial to usb adapter its "iogear". Anyways Everytime I try to click online the program like freezes? can anyone spread some advice my way. I've heard some people get an error like if a fuse is blown, but I checked all of mine. I understand that not all adapters can be used with dsmlink which is why I will try bringing my huge desktop out in the garage later tonight. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Best place to check is the dsmlink forums, think there is a sticky on usb adapters.

well when I bought my dsmlink the guy never gave me a user name or password or anything or else I would have already been on there...

The best thing to do is go to the dsmlink web page www.dsmlink.com and email them, they are very supportive. If you tell them all your information and the part number and everything im sure they will set an account up on the page for you to use on their forums.

*update* I got it to work ONCE and I set everything and forgot about my speedometer being broken and set the shutterbox to 3k, so basically I can't rev past 3k no matter how fast I am going it will just bum bum bum bum bum bum till I shift.....I need to get this fixed asap thanks guys

I think I'm about to lose it....I paid all this money for DSMLink and it doesn't work!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thats very strange that you got it to work once, usually something will either work or not. I would think more then likely its a config/comp issue & not dsmlink. Did you buy this new or used? If you got it used contact the seller & have him contact dsmlink to tell them that he has sold it to you & get a user name & password for the forums & if you bought it new, same thing contact the seller to get you setup with an account. They are always extremely helpful over there on the dsmlink boards. Do you get any errors or it just freezes up?

well it doesn't neccessarily freeze up but the little light in the botttom right hand corner just flashes yellow then red over and over again....everything is hooked up fine...I will contact the seller....let me know if you guys have anymore information
