Alright so i've had DSMlink for a while now, had a friend tune it and left it at that.

Although, after doing some reading I read that the timing is suppose to be about 5*Degrees?

According to mine, my dsm is far above that.

And i'm certain that the rest of my car is not tuned as it should be.

Can anyone view my log and give me the basic run down of What is off and should be set to? (I wouldn't doubt if everything is off).

(Currently my aem WB is disabled due to sensor failure. I have disabled my narrowband sim)
So under ECU Input tab, what do I set "Wideband (wb)" to? Currently its set to "Front O2" should it be at "Undefined" since my WB is not connected?

Thanks

Recomend you fix the wideband so can see what air/fuel ratio you have so can tune. You can try get best if you know the values. You can always pm my1gdsm for a good remote tune for decent price.

Timing looks fine. The ECU is constantly changing the timing based on engine speed and load. At idle, with the timing diag connector open, you should see about 10-15 degrees.

Its only supposed to have 5° timing with the timing wire grounded. Should be on link a checkbox thats says ground timing connector. You would check that box and check timing at the crank with a timing light.
I can see the log atm but ill check.it out later and if you have narrowband sim of doesn't matter if it says front or undefined but you can put it to undefined if you want for now.

When you set your initial base time, it should be set to 5 degrees. When you start the car, verify with a timing light that the timing matches what Link shows you. During cruise, I normally see around 22 degrees. During wide open throttle operations, full boosting, you should be seeing around 2-5 degrees. Play around with your maps and track where the knock sensor starts to retard the timing and set your maps accordingly.

I also recommend getting set up with DSMLink.com forums. It's specific to Link operations and is a great resource to all your issues. Remember, there's no issue you are having now that someone else has already dealt with. Use that site. It's awesome.

Cheers.

It doesn't work like that. When you get the car warmed up to temp and check the "ground timing" box, it will lock it in link and always show 5°, even if your ignition timing is off. Clicking that check box just allows you the ability to check and set the timing with a light.

That's really low. I usually see 17-22° at WOT and full boost.

After checking out the log, your idle tune is off a bit. Make sure you go through all the items in this link.

I'm not sure what your friend "tuned" as nothing is adjusted in regards to timing, fuel, or airflow.

Alright thanks!
Yeah as soon as I installed it he said he will get it set up for driving.

In time I plan on taking it to Road Race Engineering for a professional tune, although I would like to get it CLOSE to or running better than it currently is.

I will follow the steps you posted in the provided link to ensure that everything else is running as such.
