I've burried the speedo and watched the tach keep climbing on my talon..... I would post a pic of my speedo from when I was doing it before, but it will get deleted.

Yea, 173 mph was a 5th gear change away. Now I couldn't hit 120 if I wanted to.

Hasnt it been proven that the gear set in a DSM (well depends on the year and rear end) is about 164.5 that youll hit 7000rpm in 5th gear, unless your revving higher....and good lord at 7000rpm in 5th gear your putting a shit ton of stress on that 5th gear and motor.
