DSM turbo exhaust manni fittment on Honda H22?

So I just recently upgraded my daily driver from a 97 civic ex to a 99 prelude vtec. This car is twice as powerfull as my old civic (nothing like my GSX of course...) The fact that the prelude does have SOME power it just leaves me wanting more.

So I've been entertaining the idea of boosting this prelude (I have absolutley NO intrest in joining a Honduh forum, tuners is the best hands down!) I have a bunch of left over parts from building my DSM. A friend of mine that is a honda buff told me that the DSM exhaust manni fits a H22 head with very little modification. Claims a couple holes in the head/flange has to be "wobbled" out and that's it, it will then fit a H22.

Can any one on here confirm this? I think a 14B turbo would really compliment the VTEC. Haha, I love sayin that, VTEC... Bring on the haters...

It's true. I had a honda header on a 4g63 before. I still have it.

I just happen to have a honda H22a head, and a 2g exhaust mani laying around.

It may work with a fair bit of fab work, but way more than just wibbling a few bolt holes.

As you can see, neither end stud of the head is close to fitting the flange of the mani. and they would have to come right thu the runner.

Runner spacing is off, but could be offset by porting the runners off center.

Now the honda mani on a 4g head I could see working a bit simpler.

Now someone is gonna yell at me for saying this but Ebay can be your friend. Boosting a honda is the best way to blow it up but if you want to do it go for it. Your best bet if you want speed is to keep the prelude stock and pickup a dsm to build on the side. IMO

I already have a DSM. It dyno' 505 AWHP at Cobb Tuning SurgLine in portland oregon. I have pics in my profile.

Prelude is fun for its honda "big block" engine. H22 stock takes 5.5 qts of oil. Its a huge motor!

Yes I know aboust boostin motors. I've cleared 500 ponies on a dyno and I built my motor/car myself. I'm just lookin to add a lil more pep to my VTEC prelude ya dig?
