DSM link w/o knock board

I'm thinking its time to invest in ECMlink , I've verified I do indeed have a 1g EPROM ecu.
Now would I have any issues running link on my ecu since it has no knock board ?

I understand detecting knock can be very valuable and save engines , but I also understand that if I take my time with initial set up and tune properly I should encounter little if any knock.
I'll be running it on the car while she is n/t to get familiar with the setup and while I stockpile parts to make a fun but reliable daily.

Scheduled to have the turbo on by April or mid summer , Evo 3 16g on e85.

I have a set or factory turbo pistons but I've yet to get them inspected to see if I can make use of them if not I'll be running 9:1.

I have read everything on that site , multiple times. I have all the faqs & videos saved.

There's nothing that I have seen pertaining to link without a knock board.

You're not finding anything about it because it should go without saying. That's probably not the answer you want to hear but it's the truth, if you're going to invest in ECMLink and install a turbo on your 1g then find a turbo ECU so you can properly tune it.

The guys at ecmlink are capable of adding a knock board to a nt ecu. They did it for a friend of mine last year when he sent his ecu to them for socketing and link. They let him know and they added it for him. I think it was like 60 additional dollars for them to add it.
