hey i just got my car it had dsm link in there and im throwing in a evo 8 all pins are changed except that one. because i have no clue which is the dsm link stutter box cable. do you now what pin number it goes to? or what it swaps/shares with??? thanks!

just off the top of my head i think it is pin 58. but let me check. does dsmlink's 2 step cable have anything special involved in it or is it just a straight wire from the cruse switch to the ecu?

correction, 58 is the tacho.

clutch switch goes to pin 43.

ok i got it now the previous owner has it on the upper clutch switch!! LOL. so yea ima resplice 2 day.

Im confused here.. Are you running dsmlink with an evo8 ecu or are you putting in a evo 8 ecu into your already dsmlinked car. Or are you putting a 2g ecu into an evo so you can run dsmlink??? You can't run link and an evo8 ecu unless I'm so far behind the ecmlink updates.....

Might I ask why you are pulling DSM Link out of the car and putting the Evo8 Ecu in? I am somewhat familiar with the capabilities of both, and from what I Understand Link is easier to use for the average user.

Well the previous owner pulled it out. not him.. Sorry about the confusion and good luck on your evo 8 swap

LOL yea. i was looking at it seems like there is no splice. my friend who had a few dsms with link in it says you dont have to wire in the 2 step you just have to wire in the nlts. so i shouldn't worry about the pins.

That is correct. The 2 step is built in, but the clutch cut wire has to be installed just for the NLTS.
