Ok i got a 95 talon it turbo fwd and the it looks like the tranny is bad doesnt go in any gears
i just wanted to ask if a 1g would work also a turbo tranny i dont want to use the n/t or the gear ratio and the strength. So if some one could just touch on this and explain to me what the diffrences are i can use the old 2g parts to make it work or should i just rebuild it and what usually goes wrong it fwd turbo talon tranny.

The car is my friend and he isnt much of a mechanic we tried to get it started today to see what it does. But that didnt happen car cranked slow and didnt start and then didnt want to crank at all just clicking starter i had the jumper cables hooked up to it. When he was driving it he said it would of grind some times going in to gears and then it went in to 3rd gear and he said it made some bad noises and i think hes clutch is bad as well. I was able to get the car in to all the gears while it was shut off so i dont know. And we cant get a trans locally ### they are kinda rare and expensive. Oh also are all the 4g63T clutch disks the same. I think they are just wanted to ask u guys. I know the fly wheels are diffrent from fwd to awd
and the 7bolt to 6bolt are diffrent as well. but think the clutch kits are all the same.

I agree with splitpi on the starter. However I would also pull the fill plug on the tranny and check if it is full of oil. It does kind of sound like a clutch going bad or syncros. If you can get it into all gears I would guess syncros. Once you get it running change the tranny fluid check for metal silver or brass colored and take it for a drive. Good luck... ps best bet on a tranny is rebuilt WELCOME TO TRE   WE SPECIALIZE IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION REPAIR or www.jackstransmissions.com

My transmission is completely hosed. 1st gear won't even engage. If you need a recommendation for a shop, TRE's the solution I'm going to use.

Ok guys i worked on it today for half a day out side on soft ground the jak stands and jak kept sinking in to the ground ha. Well i replaced the starter i though the other one was bad
for some reason the flywheel has markings on it from the starter after i replaced it it did the same thing as before like it slips over the flywheel the trans was in neutral so it should of cranked over easy but no it would crank then just stop. Oh the car was off the ground the front wheels were so it should of been easy to crank it but no i had jumper cables on it also.
The one time it did start. But i put it in 1st and it shut off. And that was it didnt start any more.. I dont know why it so hard to crank it. Tomorrow i am planning on towing it to my house and then working on it in a garage. It just weird why it so hard to crank and when it does it make a weird noise. It should crank freely. I know for a fact the clutch is bad i just dont know is that why the car wont crank because the clutch

Looks like i might have figure out the starter grinding noise. I just did some reading and looks like the starters are to close to the flywheel which when they are on the gear comes out and hits the flywheel and slows it down and grinds. Some one did work on the car before me
i know this ### the ground wire that goes to the starter bolts was not bolted down suprized the car would even work i try this tomorrow hope fully it will start more freely. No it just feels like some thing is slowing it down. I dont know if there is so factory shims that go in between the starter and trans i know it has the plate but besides that ### there was nothing and also what was weird were the marks on the starter not the teeth those are in contact so they are shiny but the round flat surface on that gear was shiny to that means it hits the flywheel where it not supposed to
