turbo fwd tranny in non turbo fwd

My buddy has a 91 laser rs turbo that is being parted out. I have a 93 gs dohc that i need a tranny for.

Question: Can i use the fwd turbo tranny in the fwd non trubo car?

I did not find any articles on this specifically. The non turbo to turbo conversion thread gives info on retaining the n/t tranny, but does not give info on turbo in n/t.

Yes it is possible but you will need a turbo flywheel and clutch for a turbo tranny. And possibly the shifter cables not 100% sure about them. The gear ratios are different on a turbo tranny but other than that it will work.

The NT Clutch and flywheel will work in the Turbo tranny just not vice versa.
