Fwd tranny builds?

I have a 4g64 block w 63 head, 30r Garrett, and trying to figure out whether I should put it in a gs Spyder 2g or not...it's the only Mitsubishi other than mighty max that can drop in without much engine bay/ motor mount fab, from what I understand.
If I do this, I might as well keep fwd, but not sure if its a waste if its not going to be rwd or awd..figure I'd have to have the fwd built up well, and don't know where to go/start on that.. Thoughts? Any alternatives I've hopefully missed?

What do you want to do with it? Drag or street

Just street. I would hate to get wheel hop though if I'm putting too much power down. I know that I can put mini van tow spacers in the rear suspension to prevent traction loss, but I'd like to be able to drive at 400whp or 430whp without feeling it all go down the toilet in 1st and 2nd gear.
I just don't know anyone who does fwd tranny builds...
