Drop-In HID's Question?

My question to the matter is, Has anyone ever had problems with Drop-In HID's not getting power? To explain more, I have bought two Cheap Ebay kits, and I am not getting them to light up, my high beams work fine, just not the low beams? I have installed many before and I have not come across this yet.... I have in the pass ran Relay harness or Canceller for higher end cars, and problem fixed, but I have tried that and still nothing? Any insight would be great.

take a volt meter and see if the ballasts are getting power. typically ebay headlights aren't very good, the ballasts usually shit out early.

Flip the connectors to the ballast. You'll be amazed...these crappy hid sets have the polarity backwards sometimes for some reason. You will probably have to break the actual connector by doing this but it will not affect the function of the lights.

DSMs do have reversed polarity headlight wiring. I have the Sharp HID kit and I didn't have to break anything because the harness could flip both ways on the ballast itself. But like already stated, switch the two wires around and let there be light.

Thank you for the replies, I have Power in and out, also I tried backwards, forwards, I just gave up for the night and will try to run direct power from battery = ballast /bulb and just give up if it doesn't work....Haha
