Drivetrain losses in an AWD Automatic

I was wondering if anyone knows what the typical drivetrain losses are for an AWD automatic? I was interested in this value in order to translate crank horsepower figures to wheel horsepower. Thanks for any input.

This should help confuse you. It depends on engine RPM, vehicle speed, and other variables.

Here is a post with some rough percentages (although I would say they are 3% high across the board.) This will give you a ballpark number.

I recall reading from either Road and Track or Car and Driver magazine many moons ago that new 5spd 2G AWD's put out 165hp to the wheels and the 5spd 1G AWD's 152. Just the same, I have to agree with Mirage1 that there are too many variables and the above figures should only be used as ballpark estimates.
