Hey guys, I did a little bit of searching before I posted and I only came up with this thread.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drivetrain-tech/266023-driveshaft-wont-go-into-transaxle.html

Anyways, I am putting together my Galant Vr-4 that I purchased not to long ago, car came with driveshaft, rear, trans, ect (basically a complete car with just the head off the engine). Tonight I tried to put together the rest of the car, and when I tried to put the driveshaft into the transfer case it would go in about 1 inch and then stop, I tried pushing a little bit and got it on a little more but then the Tcase wouldn't spin on the driveshaft.

I checked all the splines and cleaned the Tcase and driveshaft splines and eveything looks good, I have no idea what could be causing this problem and it seems like only one other person has had this problem, anybody have any advice? any help is greatly appreciated!

Rember that 1G's comes with a 22 or 23 spline transfer case.

They all have the same amount of splines going onto the DRIVESHAFT. Make sure it's the right transfer case. It might be a ggsx unit. See if it will mount up to the transmission first.

That's the first thing I checked and it did mount up to the transmission no problem, just like any normal Tcase would.

Hey guys, figured I'd post it since a lot of threads that people have problems in never get updated with an actual solution for the problem.

Anyways, after trying my friends Tcase off his 92 talon and it didn't fit, it was time to remove the drive shaft, now let me tell u the car sat for over a year so the yoke did have some rust on it, I wire wheeled it as good as i could on the car before I first tried to put on the tcase, so when I took out the drive shaft, I was like oh hell I'll just wire wheel it again, since this time its off the car and it's much easier to work on it, I wire wheeled it again really good putting a good amount of pressure on the yoke, and tada the driveshaft fit right into the Tcase!!! :)

So got to drive the galant tonight since I straited out the problem, thanks a lot guys for some of the input! .
