driver seatbelt malfunctioning

my seat belt is going nuts it goes up down and on its own with the door open or closed and makes the commute very uncomfortable. anyone have any ideas

Ould be a bad connection somewhere or the motor that drives the seat belt is malfunctioning.

Oh and when you click the video its saying "this video is private".

Maybe disconnect the motor and reconnect it. The connector might just be loose.

Isn't this motor activated by the door jamb button? Like it closes when door is shut, then opens when door is open. I sat that is it. U can check by holding that things closed and or taping it shut.

There are stop switches on either side of the track. Check to make sure that one of them is not jammed or broken. It could be causing the motor to not stop when the belt clasp is in driving position.

Check the door jamb button by holding it down and see what happens.

Remove the rear cover there and make sure the connection is tight. A simple fix here would be to just unplug it when it's fully down and just buckle up every time.

Remove the covers entirely and check for a jam in the track.

All of these are options to try.

As a kid I thought these seatbelts were the ish, but now they are just annoying.
