Drilling HLA's/Lifters?

Has anyone ever tried drilling the top hole of their stock HLA's to improve oil flow? Mine are ticking pretty bad, and the new design has larger top holes. Any ideas?

It's not just the top hole that is larger on the new design, it's internal stuff too. Drilling that one hole out probably will not fix the problem.

You can try cleaning yours.

I thought the internals were different as well, as I haven't seen anything like this before.

I've cleaned them twice, it's time for replacement.

i wondered the same thing myself ... all the lifters on cylender#1 are ticking on mine

Initially i didn't want to replace them, so i cleaned them, twice. No luck. But I didn't feel like replacing all 16 of them, but I didn't really know how to check them.

I read somewhere that when you take off the valve cover, you can just press down on the rocker arm firmly, and if the hla compresses, it needs replacing. Any thoughts/
