Just need a double check on my setup. I have a 6 bolt swap in my 95 talon. It has a 1G long wire CAS on 2GB head. The ECU is EPROM but no clue what year it's from. Everything is stock setup.

CAS is timed to TDC per Road Race Engineering instructions Method 2, cam alignment pins at 12:00, exhaust cam gear at 3:00 lines up with Intake cam gear at 9:00 and mark on the crank pulley lines up with TDC. CAS lined up with the notch on wing and dot on housing. CAS, and Crank sensor wires are tied in as shown in the tech article drawing (I hope)

Since I did the 6 bolt swap I swapped injector pins 1 is now 14, 2 is now 1, 15 is now 2 and 14 is now 15 as specified in the write up.

I also swapped spark plug wires, from 1342 to 4231.

I have spark on all 4 plugs, plugs are wet with fuel and it pops when turning over but won't light.

I read conflicting articles about the spark plug fire order different for 2GA and 2GB ECU's.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Am I set up correctly? It's possible I mixed something up but just want to make sure this is the combo needed for this 6 bolt swap.

Thanks!

I also swapped spark plug wires, from 1342 to 4231.

This is not right. Plug 1 and 4 will be on the same coil; 2 and 3 will be on the same coil, forever and always.

The original order is 4123, if I recall correctly. Now, it is only necessary to swap the firing order IFF the ECU is expecting the order to be switched based on the signal provided by the 1G CAS. It being an EPROM ECU and being in a 2G, I would ASSUME that it is a '95 ECU.

The '95 ECU is sparking opposite of what the 1G CAS is telling it to do. In order to compensate, the plug wires are swapped, making the order 2341 (or other variant that keeps 2-3 on the same coil and 1-4 on the same coil).

Ok, thanks for the input. I did find out the ECU is from a 2GA.

I will change the fire order and that should be the last piece to the puzzle.

Thanks
