Door speakers don't work but dash tweeters do??

I just bought a 98 gst and the front and rear speakers don't work but the dash speakers do.. I have the stock deck player in it and it works fine. I know the speakers aren't blow because I test them on another car. What could be wrong?

Could be a broken wire, bad connection.....etc. Try to take a volt meter to the audio wires comming out the factory amp (assuming you are still using it), then trace it to the speaker to find out what the issue is.

Sounds like a loose wire or your deck is going

Check if the wires that run from the car into the door are ok. The ones that should be inside the little black tube thing. Sometimes they get messed up.

What's the grey wire that's suppose to go into the radio do, because I don't have one?

If 1G's and 2G's share the same color code -the yellows are the hots for L/R and the grays are the ground , just the striping determines the L/R sides.

Take a AAA battery and you can bump across the grey and yellow with the same color stripe and that will bump which speaker its designated to.

How the door and cowl fades is through the radio itself since you'll see wires that are paired in the connector per each side.

Ok I just swapped out the radio for another stock one and it still does the samething so I know it's not the radio.. If my dash speakers work then does that mean my amp is good?? I don't understand why only my door and back speakers don't work. Is there maybe a fuse I don't know about or something?

There shouldn't be any fuse.

If it's not the head unit's internal amp and it's not the speakers themselves it has to be in the connection somewhere. Have you tested the wires coming from the head unit with a multimeter?

I realize that, but I wasn't under the impression that he swapped all of the wiring as well.

Well I'm probably goin to swap out amps from my other car but I don't want to waste my time if it's not a change of being bad, you know.so the dash speakers could work even if the amp is bad?

well it tuned out to be the factor amp so thanks for all the help guys.
