I am in need of new door defrost vents that are located on the top side of the doors. The sun has degraded them. I found numerous old threads on the subject, but none contained part numbers. They are not located on any part diagrams that I could find, but am told they can be bought individually. I have a 96 gst with gray interior. Any help in locating them would be appreciated.

I would suggest getting in touch with local salvage yards or checking out people parting out cars, I doubt those are still available new.

For future reference:

We're sorry, but the parts you've requested have been discontinued, are no longer available through Mitsubishi, and we cannot get them for you at this time:

We apologize for the inconvenience.

If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

Thanks!

Touch base with Miller Import Parts. They probably got a couple sets flopping around. Otherwise, local junkyard is your next best bet. I think Dodge Stratus and/or Chrysler Sebrings used similar door panels. Though, I can't remember for certain or years. I snagged the sunroof interior trim cover off one of them years ago since mine was missing.

+1 on Steve Miller. However he usually only sells complete door panels. Those pieces are always cracked, and a huge PITA to remove. They're interconnected with all the other crap behind the door panel, all of which is made of plastic and usually brittle as f**k. I have never been able to pry one out of a parts car without breaking it.
