Please help!! I just got a 95 gst from a "have no idea" person that got it in a trade. I will attach some pics so hopefully it makes sense. I'm not sure vac. lines are right. It has an M10 Garrett turbo .48 in .49 out (I know nothing about turbo's). When I got the car, it was maxing out the boost gauge (20 plus) and the nipple on the inlet housing in the first photo (pointing at it) had nothing hooked up to it, and neither did the top nipple on the second photo (kind of hard to see as it is under the air inlet housing). I think it's the waste gate solenoid? I hooked these together and was running like 12 pounds of boost. I was told it needed a pressure line hooked to the solenoid so I plugged the one on the air inlet and tee-d a line that was going to the bov (photo 3, now plugged off). I was then told that I should not tee off the bov line. Today I plugged that line (photo 3 again) and hooked a line back up from solenoid to air inlet. When I drove home it was peaking at 20 plus boost again. Hope this makes sense. The last picture is just showing where my boost gauge (cheap Sunpro already on it) is getting readings. I hope someone can set me straight so I don't trash it. I kinda doubt this turbo can push 20-25 pounds of boost so I really need help please. It smells kind of like it's running rich also and the plugs indicate that as well. Not REAL rich but not quite right. And another note, my shifter is REALLY, Really loose, any thoughts there? It's hard to find first it's so loose.

ok... i told ya you gotta recirculate that bov to the intake silly! here's a picture of what it should look like:

if you want i can try and go out to the hubby's gst and take a picture of the solenoid line also... and that intake line you've got looks funny to me. i'll have to look at that one also. if it would be beneficial to you :p

hold that thought. i'll be right back

ok... went outside and took a picture of said solenoid with vacuum line:

byt the way... both of those lines hook to the intake :)

also looked at that side of the intake manifold... those hoses in your picture appear to be correct, but that white plastic looks to be non-factory. so i would double check and make sure it's on there good. and as for that turbo... i still know nothing about it LOL. do a search on it and see if you can come up with safe boost levels and such. hope this helps!

That white tube is factory like your dual hose clamps. LOL sorry, couldn't resist. The bottom line on that solenoid goes to the turbo (actuator thing?) and looks like the top line on yours goes to the air inlet tube. That's how I put it now. I'll get that other part put on to recirculate and go from there. Thanks!! Any other ideas from you or anyone on the other issues let me know please.

let me tell you. that is one high pressure upper radiator hose! LOL both radiator hoses are getting replaced with the silicone jobbers before all is said and done anyway. and yes the bottom line on the solenoid goes to the wastegate actuator. if you have any other little issues, you know where to find us! :p

your boost gauge should be getting a reading off of your fuel pressure solenoid. its on the driver side on the firewall. there is a line going to the intake manifold, that's the line you tee off for your gauge. ill take a pic of mine in the morning.

if I remember correctly, the boost control solenoid should be setup like this....top hose goes to nipple on the intake pipe facing the radiator, the bottom hose goes to the wastegate actuator. I can't tell what that line is teed off to in the pic with the bov line. if I were you I'd replace all rubber hoses and start from scratch. if you need further help pm me.
