Ok this it the story

8 moths ago my car started shaking like i had a bad CV or wheel baring I changed out all the ball joints and wheel barings along with cvs. and the shacking still persisted. it would hapen under throttle and deceleration and only when turning right. My clutch slipped on me realy bad, i was doing 30 when i slammed the acelorator and it just sliped. it did it to me a few times moments later i parked the car for 30 min and stangely the clutch was grabbing fine again and the shake went away. What the hell? im confused and so is evry other machaneic. well i drove it for a day and nothing whent wrong. then yesterday i was driving it and i got clutch slip at a stop light and i could barily get the car to move. I got it to work and at lunch i went to take it home and the clutch was fine.. What gives my car has a ghost and i cant find it. Ive check the motor mounts, drive line and barrings and all the suppension been replaced so is my cltuch realy bad? i cant see how, it has only 8000 miles on it and its been babied for the most part. Its a ACT 2600 clutch. the pedal may have that pump problem its gets realy stiff and somtime gets mushy for a few cant figure out why.

I know it was a lot to read just wanted to get it in the open. The shake and the clutch makes no sence to me. the shake has not come back but the clutch slip is unpredictable now, ?strange. :banghead: thanks for any help.

maybe try adjusting the master cylinder rod? The shake could very well be chatter considering you have a 2600 and it's presenting itself while the clutch is slipping. But that would not explain the deceleration or turning right phenomenon. I'd consider rebuilding the master or slave cylinders, perhaps even a new clutch...

ya the right turn shake or heavy vibration like a cv was bad scares me... how the clutch would do that is beond me.. all i know soon as the cluctch started slipping it went away.. took 8 months but i vanished without a trace. Master cylander is new i have a slave ill through it in and do an ajustment see what happens,

This tells you that you definitely have a problem with the clutch system. you may have air in the line, bad seals on your cylinders, or you need to adjust the engagement point on the pedal. The shaking is kinda confusing though...maybe the two aren't related.

Could be a bad throw out bearing not releasing all the way and causing the slip periodicaly.

The throwout bearing doesn't "release" anything. It allows the pressure plate to spin freely while pressure is applied from the fork/slave cylinder. If he had a bad throwout bearing he'd most likely hear a loud noise.

the thing that scares me is how does a clutch slip one day and not the next? it was slipping with just leaving a stop light? NO boost no power just a jental roll out. and today im hamering it at 16lbs of boost and it holding from launch im confused. pedal seems to have enouph play in the top end.:aha:

Sorry I must of worded it wrong the throwout bearing does push the pressure plate and allows it to engage and disengage from the clutch itself. The throw out bearing can hang up when pressed and not release fully if its worn out or if the shaft it slides on is damaged. If the bearing doesn't return to its starting point then the clutch isn't fully engaging.
